Awards and Accolades
Green Apple Awards
ECM has won nine Green Apple Awards in the last ten years, including winning an award as National Champions. These accolades have been given to ECM for schemes including reducing pesticide applications, reducing farm waste and educating the farmers and Manchester Metropolitan University Students in environmental best practice. |
Green Hero Awards
The Green Hero Awards were established in 2006 and so far ECM has won on both occasions. The awards were given to recognise our work in demonstrating our environmental lead to others.

CEST Report “Cleaner Farming”
This report produced in 1993 set out the ways to make farming safer and environmentally sensitive. ECM was the only agrichemical distributor invited to contribute due to our ‘Green Credentials’. The report was used by the government to form many of the agricultural policies that are now in use. |
Warrington Borough Council Environmental Awards
Having helped Warrington Borough Council to promote and launch their own environmental awards, ECM was runner up in the category ‘Protecting the Natural Environment’. |
