ECM SCOOPS ANOTHER NATIONAL AWARD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL BEST PRACTICE
ECM has won another nationals award for Environmental Best Practice. This was
presented to Peter Clare, Managing Director of ECM, by Dr Peter Dunleavy, the
Dean and Pro Vice Chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University.
ECM has a long-standing research partnership with the university looking at all
aspects of agronomy on North West farms, enabling farmers to optimise their
profits whilst protecting the environment. This allows ECM to give truly
independent advice on problems unique to farms in the North West.
The award was given in recognition of ECM’s pioneering work in optimising crop nutrition using
foliar applications of nutrients. This leads to improved yields and a reduction in potential pollution problems that farmers may face. The award is made by the Green Organisation, an independent international group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. |
